HOW TO SPOT FAKE CHARGER

FRUSTRATION OF BUYING A FAKE REPLACEMENT LAPTOP CHARGER - HOW TO SPOT A FAKE.

HOW DO YOU SPOT A FAKE LAPTOP CHARGER

The fact that a product is very clean and cheap does not 'always' make it an original product. Patience and knowledge about what you need will help you get the best.

When in need of a replacement Laptop Charger, here are some of the things to look out for:

1. Check the logo design: People engaging in the manufacturing of low quality Laptop Chargers do all they can to imitate original design and logo but they will always miss some details and the fake won't be as clean and clear enough as the original manufacturers do it.

2. Weigh the Charger: A low quality Charger is usually more heavier than good quality one as iron is used instead of aluminum for the heat conducting components inside.
And they tend to make hollow sound when fake chargers are knocked due to a lot of missing components in the panel.

3. Use your knuckles on the Charger and listen to the produced sound: Fake Laptop replacement Chargers produce a louder echo as if the inner part of the Charger is empty while a high quality Charger will produce a lesser echo and you know that the inner part contains enough components.

4. Check to observe heating rate: A fake Laptop Charger when used to charge a Laptop battery while the Laptop is in use will get hot very fast and might produce a burning smell. That should be a perfect sign that it is a fake product.

5. Check the width of the Velcro tie: An original Laptop Charger comes with a Velcro tie. It is that black long material used in wrapping the wire when folded. Most fake Laptop Chargers also come with a Velcro tie but the width of the Velcro tie on a fake Charger is far smaller than that on an original Laptop Charger.

6. Check for cable holder: Majority of the fake Laptop Chargers do NOT come with a cable holder. The cable holder is that rubber curve attached to the tip of the Laptop Charger. So if you are given a laptop charger without a cable holder, it is very likely that it is a fake replacement Charger.

7. Check also for the cable texture and length: Original charger's cable are always made from quality rubber and are usually of good length. On the other hand fake's cable are usually short and made from poor insulation materials or rubber.

So next time you set out to buy a Laptop Charger, be patient enough to carry out your investigations silently on the product being offered to you as as not to be deceived into buying a low quality product.
